Lodging a building consent application

All building consent applications with Matamata-Piako District Council are lodged and processed using the Alpha One cloud platform. Before applying online for a consent for the first time, you will need to create an account in Alpha One by providing your name, email address and choosing a secure password. To get started, watch the Alpha One video tutorials that guide you through the steps.

Alpha One has the application form and checklist built-in so the Build Waikato application forms and checklists are not required for applying for building consents. Building consent applications received before 1 July 2020 are being processed in our legacy system.

You cannot start any building work until a building consent has been issued.
