Rapid growth is causing delays in resource consents, engineering approval, subdivision approval and responses to general planning enquiries.
Building
Lodging a building consent application
From 8 April 2024 the customer portal for Alpha One is being upgraded to Objective Build. Objective Build provides you with a single portal for all of your building consents, regardless of what New Zealand Council is processing them. If you have not used Objective Build before, you will need to set up a new account using the same email address you used with Alpha One. All of your current consents will be migrated to Objective Build once you have signed up.
Getting started with Objective Build Create an Account Log in to Objective Build
All building consent applications with Matamata-Piako District Council are lodged and processed using the Objective Build cloud platform. Before applying online for a consent for the first time, you will need to create an account in Objective Build by providing your name, email address and choosing a secure password. To get started, watch the Objective Build video tutorials that guide you through the steps.
Objective Build has the application form and checklist built-in so the Build Waikato application forms and checklists are not required for applying for building consents. Building consent applications received before 1 July 2020 are being processed in our legacy system.
You cannot start any building work until a building consent has been issued.
Transition from Alpha One
All current consents are migrated from Alpha One to Objective Build. Draft applications that haven't been submitted are not able to be migrated. If you have a draft application please log in to Alpha One to submit it. The submitted application will then be migrated to Objective Build for the remainder of the process.
