We have an exciting opportunity to create a wall of haiku poetry in the town centre as part of a laneway transformation. Pride of Place is working with business owner Sonya at Shed Boutique to spruce up the laneway connecting Arawa Street and Hetana Street.

Enter your 5-7-5 syllable haiku now until 31 May at mpdc.nz/haiku for a chance to see your haiku feature on the laneway wall. The competition is open to all ages with a People’s Choice prize for each age category. This project is funded by NZTA Waka Kotahi Transport Choices.
