Senior Person's Rental Housing

Most of the housing consists of one bedroom units. Many have special features such as floor level disabled access showers, safety rails and ramps, carpeted lounge and bedroom.

All flats come unfurnished with tenants supplying their own curtains/blinds, washing machines and fridges. Carpet/vinyl and stove are supplied. Most complexes have off street parking.

Council is responsible for maintaining the unit. Typical maintenance includes:

  • Lawns mowed on a cycle depending on grass growth and the time of year
  • Refuse is collected once per week and recycling is collected once per fortnight
  • Any internal or external water and sewer breaks
  • Any repairs to stove and hot water cylinder or other general maintenance

All units are part of an annual maintenance schedule.

Refurbishment (painting and decorating) is programmed according to need.
