If you are inviting the Mayor to an event, please include the date, time, location and an idea of who will be attending. It would also be helpful if you include the duration of the event, how long you wish the Mayor to attend, and what you would like from the Mayor (for example, just his attendance, or a speech, or other formalities such as a ribbon-cutting).
Addressing the Mayor
For official introductions, please use ‘Mayor Ash Tanner’ or 'Mayor of the Matamata-Piako District, Ash Tanner'. After the official introduction, he should be referred to as Mayor Ash.
Mayor Ash prefers not to use the honorific 'His Worship'.
