A helicopter will be delivering materials to the Tui Domain Track on 3 March 2026. The track will be closed during this period to ensure safety for the public and the working team. We will be transporting materials up to a remote location to enable us to undertake track renewals.
Following the storms on 21-22 January 2026, we haven't been able to assess all of the tracks yet so please be extremely cautious and check this update on what to expect and a few tips to help keep you safe.
Hamilton Street Track
The track starts at the remnants of the historic power station at the end of Hamilton Street. The track is flat at the start, crosses the Tunakohoia Stream and becomes steeper as it goes through the forest to meet up with the Tui-Domain Track. The Tunakohoia Stream is full of boulders and is great for rock hopping.
