Personally I would like to see the Morrinsville to Te Aroha cycleway developed as soon as possible - but with a fine surface not massive rocks, the kids and many adults find it very difficult to ride on rough ground.

I am very supportive of the waste reduction, less rubbish going to landfill. Although I wonder if the council has future plans for supporting rural landowners with the same services as town. Most of the rural families I know put all of their waste including recyclables, food waste and paper into one bag which then all goes in a wheelie bin to the landfill. Perhaps education of "reduce, re-use - recycle" needs to come from the govt. but with no easy way for people to recycle (other than driving and spending a lot of time getting to the transfer station) it seems the majority will continue to fill up our landfills.
