Full description of idea:

That Matamata Piako District Council celebrate s these events over several days and weeks in each of the towns. These could include kite flying, Maori story telling, Kapa haka, waiata, cooking, weaving, etc
To show support of the Treaty of Waitangi Te Tiriti o Waitangi by careful consideration of the naming of new suburbs, roads and buildings within the district. The council installs bilingual signs throughout the districts.
The no 7 bath house in the Te Aroha domain is fully restored and is connected to the mineral water supply. This could be funded from government funding for “shovel ready projects”.
