Thames Valley Fire and Emergency New Zealand
Matamata-Piako District Council is part of the Thames Valley Fire and Emergency New Zealand, which includes the Hauraki, Matamata-Piako and Thames-Coromandel districts.
The Thames Valley Fire and Emergency New Zealand is responsible for the Prevention, Detection and Suppression of all fires in the rural area. (The rural area is defined as all lands outside of the Urban Fire Districts and lands administered by the Department of Conservation.)
