Update 1 May 2024: The roof is now up and remaining work on the concrete and bench seat are expected to take around two weeks to complete.

From today (Tuesday 2 April) Matamata Rotary will be undertaking minor construction work at the Peria Road Dog Park. The site will still be open to visitors, but we advise that care be taken when using the space as there will be contractors with vehicles on the site. The contractors will be taking care to ensure they keep you safe too.

Peter Vossen Builders will be erecting site fencing to protect their work area and will be preparing the site for concrete installation, followed by the construction of a new shelter in the park. 

This community lead project is part of a bigger proposal to make some exciting upgrades to the park so stay tuned to see what else our community group contribute to the dog park.
