That’s a wrap! Libraries would like to say a big thank you to everyone who popped along to the Libraries Speaker Series from 29 February to 14 March.

Five speakers spoke at the six events across the district, designed to inspire and inform our communities about local issues. Attendees heard about our district’s water from Water and Wastewater Manager Karl Pavlovich, local rates from economist Brad Olsen, natural disaster preparedness from Emergency Management Officer Loren Molloy, the power of communities from Inspiring Communities founding member Megan Courtney and the story of the revival of a small heritage town by Reefton local Paul Thomas.

We received great feedback with attendees saying the events were “very worthwhile” and that “more people need to hear this”. We think so too and we're making the recordings of the sessions available at mpdc.nz/speakerseries.
