This week the new kerbside collections kicked off with your new food scrap bin and rubbish bin. Next week is your food scrap bin, recycling bin and glass crate.

Just a reminder that official MPDC rubbish bags are no longer being collected from the kerbside or sold by council. If you still have some official MPDC rubbish bags they can be taken to transfer stations for no additional charge until the end of August 2024.

Please make sure your bins are kerbside by 7.30am and remember that the new collection days are:

• Matamata (incl. Waharoa and Walton) is Tuesday.
• Morrinsville (incl. Tahuna) is Wednesday.
• Te Aroha (incl. Waitoa and Waihou) is Thursday.
