The countdown is on, and the whole community is invited along to the opening of the Open Country Community Stadium!

This is a major milestone for Matamata and a proud moment for everyone who has been a part of this journey. The stadium has been built by our community, for our community, and opening day is all about celebrating what we’ve achieved together.

On Saturday 21 February from 9am onwards, you can:

• explore this incredible community investment
• enjoy food trucks and refreshments
• meet our local sports clubs as they showcase their skills
• connect with the people who make sport in our community happen

There will be plenty to see, do, and experience - so bring your whānau, bring your friends, and come along to see what’s now possible for future generations.
