Full description of idea:
The land within the Boundrys of the Councils concern, is given mainly to dairying, so our towns and settlements could reflect" The Theme" of bright clean dairy like freshness. Add to that Parks, Cycle trails and walking tracks etc. Each participating community could have welcome signage illustrating bright, clean and green aspirations including a caption such as .."Matamata Piako District, its the land we Journey in. Its our Waka".
A permanent paid position for on overseer of streets and public areas, to take care of and pay attention to, cleaning the carparks, laybys, gutters and footpaths is a must when attracting visitors.

How this idea will benefit the community:
To identify our particular area MATAMATA PIAKO names the place "The land we journey in" defines the area of personal interest and "its Our Waka" is inclusive of all peoples and implies pulling together.
Tourists would have the linking of communities by signs, brochures and posters etc. This could lead to small bus tours around the places of interest such as dairy factories, the falls, the Te Aroha Baths, racing stables etc.
