Planned water shutdowns
Stanley Avenue and Gordon Avenue, Te Aroha
We'll be shutting down water supply to properties on Stanley Avenue and Gordon Avenue, Te Aroha on Thursday, 12 March 2026 from 10am-2pm. Our reticulation team will be installing a new fire hydrant. This is expected to affect 13-41 Stanley Avenue, and 2-4 Gordon Avenue.
Please ensure you make alternative arrangements for essential water supply during this time. Please turn all your household taps off, as the water may be turned back on earlier than advised. Once water supply is restored, we suggest turning on an outdoor tap for a minute to flush out any air bubbles, which can cause temporary discolouration.
If your water has not been restored by 2.30pm, try running your tap for a few minutes longer until water begins flowing normally. If the issue continues, please contact us.

We'll be shutting down water supply to properties on Clarke Street on Wednesday, 18 March 2026 from 9am-1pm so our reticulation team can carry out repairs to a fire hydrant.

Water valve testing, ongoing around the district.
We are exercising water valves around the district to ensure they're working properly - this is an important part of maintaining our water network as it helps us identify issues early. This process may dislodge sediment and it's possible some properties may experience "dirty water".
If you notice dirty water, we recommend turning on an outside tap for a few minutes to flush through any sediment or air bubbles, which may cause discolouration to the water. If that does not solve the issue, please contact us 0800 746 467. Thank you for your patience.
