Temporary water supply shutdown - Te Aroha

Our contractors will be undertaking a trial water shutdown on Stanley Avenue. It is planned for Wednesday 3 June between 4pm and 5pm. Only a small section of the network will be directly affected, with some surrounding areas potentially experiencing low pressure during this time.

Please ensure you make alternative arrangements for essential water supply during the times stated above. We also ask that all taps are turned off, as the water may be turned back on earlier than expected.

When water is restored, we recommend flushing an outside tap for a minute to flush through any air bubbles, which may cause discolouration to the water. Thank you for your patience.

Water valve testing, ongoing around the district.

We are exercising water valves around the district to ensure they're working properly - this is an important part of maintaining our water network as it helps us identify issues early. This process may dislodge sediment and it's possible some properties may experience "dirty water".

If you notice dirty water, we recommend turning on an outside tap for a few minutes to flush through any sediment or air bubbles, which may cause discolouration to the water. If that does not solve the issue, please contact us 0800 746 467. Thank you for your patience.
