Looking back at the last 12 months
In 2024 we consulted on our plans for the next 10 years through our Long Term Plan (LTP). In the years between Long Term Plans, we produce an Annual Plan. This is where we check progress and make any changes or additions for the year ahead. As part of our Annual Plan, we think it’s important to share an update on the progress we’ve made over the last 12 months.
Connecting with the community
Over the last year, we consulted on a wide range of topics. These included Policy on Dogs and Dog Control Bylaw, Community Outcomes, Waitoa Water Supply, Climate Ready Communities, Easter Sunday shop trading and more. We especially value how many people actively connected with Council to help shape their community. Here’s a snapshot of how people got involved over the last 12 months:
Keeping things ticking
Over the last year we’ve continued to deliver all our existing services to the same standard. This includes running pools and libraries, maintaining parks and roads, treating drinking water, processing resource and building consents, and providing community grants. We’ve also continued to maintain and renew our assets to ensure these services can be provided for years to come. Some examples of this work include:
