Council’s biggest night out, showcasing the best in business is coming up on 26 October. The Bayleys Business Night Out celebrates business success in Matamata-Piako.

Nominations are now open for:

• Trades, Manufacturing and Primary Industries;
• Consumer Services (Retail, Tourism and Hospitality);
• Professional Services; and
• New and Emerging Business

Each of the category winners will then be eligible to become the Matamata-Piako Bayleys Supreme Business Award winner.   

All entries into the business category awards will be scrutinized by our elite panel of judges

“Our judging panel will no doubt have a huge challenge on their hands,” commented Mayor Adrienne Wilcock. “We know Matamata-Piako is home to an amazing, thriving business community.”    

Joining these award categories will be the highly contested Fonterra People’s Choice Awards - one for each of the three towns in the district, which goes to public vote. Last year over 2000 online votes were received, with the finalists sitting neck and neck until the last-minute.

“This community is well known for providing a warm welcome, which is what makes the Fonterra People's Choice Award so hotly contested. I encourage you to get behind your favourite businesses and get your nominations in."
