The Community Support Scheme was eastablished to achieve three main goals in our community

  • To develop our community;
  • To facilitate enhanced arts, culture and recreation opportunities;
  • To assist the self-development of community groups.

 

These grants are managed by the local Community Boards, who are responsible for reviewing applications and allocating the funds. The scheme has funding available as a grant, a guarantee against loss, or as a loan.

 

Who is elgible?

You can apply to the Community Support Scheme if:

  • You are a non profit organisation;
  • You can show that the community will benefit as a result of your project;
  • You can contribute funds of your own towards the project costs;
  • You are capable of accounting for any funds granted.

 

What can funding be used for?

  • Start-up assistance for new projects or services
  • Equipment purchase
  • Establishment of facilities
  • Projects to assist organisation and operational skills

 

How do I apply?

Community boards meet monthly and consider any funding applications at their meetings. To apply, simply download the application guidelines and form below, complete the required information and return it to any Council office.
