Tainui Street, Matamata

The Matamata Memorial Centre is Council's biggest hall in the district; it is made up of four main rooms.

The entranceway features a war memorial to those people from the area who served in the wars. This area also provides access to all other areas of the facility.

The large main hall features a stage, which is fully set up with curtains, lighting etc for performances and includes a blackstage area with toilets and changing rooms. Cushioned chairs and trestle tables are available for use in this area.

The Tainui Room is a smaller, carpeted meeting room with adjoining kitchen. The meeting room has a piano and several chairs and tables. More tables and chairs are also available if neccessary. The kitchen facilities include a zip, fridge, and oven.

The upstairs lounge is a long, narrow meeting room suitable for smaller meetings

Toilets, including disabled toilets, are located behind the entranceway.
