The promoter is Matamata-Piako District Council (Council).

The promotion opens Monday, 17 August 2026 and closes at 11.59pm on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.

Entries received after the promotion period will not be included in the draw.

To be eligible for the prize draw, entrants must:

• be a current Matamata-Piako District Council ratepayer

• have an active Payble payment plan linked to their rates account

• have signed up to Payble on or after 1 September 2025 and by 30 September 2026

• maintain an active Payble payment plan at the time of the draw.

The promotion applies only to payment plans that customers have signed up to through Payble. One-off Payble payments (including paid in full) do not qualify for entry. Existing direct debit do not qualify because the customer has not signed up to a Payble payment plan.

Existing Payble customers

Existing Payble payment plan customers are included in the draw, provided they signed up on or after 1 September 2025 and have an active payment plan at the time of the draw. This recognises customers who were early adopters of Payble and have already helped reduce printing, postage and administration costs

The following people are not eligible to enter:

• employees of Matamata-Piako District Council

• elected members of Matamata-Piako District Council

Where a rates account is held jointly, any account holder who is an employee or elected

member of Matamata-Piako District Council will make that rates account ineligible for entry. Rates accounts held by a company, trust, partnership or other entity are not eligible where an employee or elected member of Matamata-Piako District Council is an owner, trustee, director, partner, beneficiary, office holder or otherwise has a controlling interest in that entity.

Council may verify eligibility and exclude any entry that does not meet these terms and

conditions.

Eligible ratepayers do not need to complete an entry form. All eligible Payble payment plan customers will be automatically entered into the draw. Customers who receive confirmation from Payble that their payment plan has been successfully established will be considered for entry, subject to meeting all eligibility requirements.

There is one prize of $1,000 credit applied to the winner’s Matamata-Piako District Council

rates account.

The prize:

• cannot be exchanged for cash

• cannot be transferred to another person

• cannot be applied to any account other than the winner's rates account

• will be applied by Council to the winner's rates account

• is expected to appear on the winner's rates account within approximately 10

working days of the winner being confirmed, subject to administrative and approval

processes

• will automatically be reflected in the winner's Payble payment plan once the $1,000

credit has been applied to their rates account

• does not require any action from the winner to adjust their Payble payment plan

The draw will be conducted during October 2026.

The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries using a random selection

process. Council’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The winner will be contacted by phone using the contact details provided as part of their Payble account. Council will make reasonable attempts to contact the winner.

If the winner cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, Council will apply the credit to the winning rates account.

To ensure transparency, Council will publish the winner's name and town following the prize draw.

Council may also invite the winner to participate in promotional activities relating to the competition, including photographs, website content and social media posts.

Personal information collected and used for the purposes of this promotion will be managed in accordance with Matamata-Piako District Council's Privacy Policy.

Information will only be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact the winner, apply the prize and announce the winner.

Council may amend, suspend or cancel the promotion if circumstances arise that make this necessary. Any changes will be published on Council’s website.
