Do you have a poem that needs to be shared with the world? Matamata-Piako Libraries are hosting a Poetry Podcast Competition from 1 - 31 August this year and they’d love to hear you perform your original work.

There are separate categories for children (5-12 years old), teens (13-18 years old) and adults (19+ years old). There is no set theme so let your imagination run wild, put pen to paper and submit a video or audio recording of your poetry performance to mpdc.nz/poetry.

There will also be sessions at each library with our tech-savvy librarians if you’d like a hand with recording and/or submitting your poetry performance:

• Te Aroha Library: 10am - 12pm, Thursday 15 August
• Morrinsville Library: 10.30am, Tuesday 20 August
• Matamata Library: 2pm, Thursday 22 August
