A series of earthquakes that struck recently have caused significant damage to a number of older monuments at the Te Aroha Cemetery. These monuments have either moved from their original positions or have been damaged. As a result, we ask that everyone stay clear of the marked monuments until they have been assessed for safety.

We understand that these monuments hold a significant value to families and individuals who have loved ones buried in the area. Therefore, we are working diligently to notify families of the deceased about the situation.
