VYA Youth Awards

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners of the inaugural Youth Awards, and thank you to all those who supported the event by making nominations, showcasing all the good stuff our youth are doing in our community.

The Awards evening was held at Kaimai Chees Café 30 November with almost 100 people attending. In total we received 80 nominations representing 44 different people. The winners of the nine categories were announced on the night;

  • Wallace Gallery Award for the Arts – Caleb Flintoff
  • Mill Corner Recording Studios Music Award – Caleb Flintoff
  • Kaimai Cheese Award for Entrepreneurship – Patrick Roskam
  • Ngati Haua Iwi Trust Award for Maori Contribution – Makoha Nightingale-Pene
  • Property Brokers Employee Award – Rosie Koianaki
  • Mitre 10 Award for Overcoming Adversity – Hannah Allen
  • Keystone Advice Group Award for Environmental Commitment – Tana Bell
  • Noble & Lee Award for Leadership – Chelsie Park
  • The Boltholder Ltd Award for Service to Community – Patrick Roskam
