| 4.8 Aerial Topdressing/Spraying |

4.8.1 Activity StatusAerial topdressing/spraying within 500m of a rural and residential zone boundary and the Kopuatai Peat Dome shall be a non-complying activity.
Explanation Council wishes to avoid the potential for nuisance and other adverse effects on the residential environment as a result of aerial topdressing/spraying activity. Such nuisance or effects may include noise and spray or fertiliser drift.
This does not limit the legitimate use of rural land for farming as alternative means of topdressing/spraying may still be used, for example applying “Growsafe Code of Practice” methods. |
